The suggested amount of bulk loose leaf tea used, in general, is one teaspoon of LOOSE LEAF TEA PER 8 OUNCE CUP. When measured out and weighed, one teaspoon of this bulk, organic loose leaf tea costs $.20 per teaspoon or cup brewed. In figuring out the price per cup of bulk loose leaf teas carried here, I came up with an average expense of $.20 per teaspoon (cup brewed). The average Boxed, Hand-Bagged Teas in our unbleached natural tea bags cost $.80 per bag (cup brewed) , this can be a HUGE savings by purchasing bulk loose leaf tea, instead of the Boxed, Pre-Bagged Teas.
